Pendleton© Chief Joseph Blanket in Slate
$485.00
First woven in the 1920s, this USA-made wool blanket has been one of the most popular Pendleton designs ever since Chief Joseph led the Nez Perce tribe out of North Eastern Oregon in the late 1800's. Widely admired for protecting his people and speaking the truth, he is honored with this design, symbolizing bravery with bold arrowheads to represent the chief's courage, strength and integrity. Reverses for two different looks.
In honor of his bravery, Pendleton donates a portion of the sales from all Chief Joseph products to nonprofit organizations that facilitate medical careers for Native students, and the preservation of Native languages.
